Acquisition range

Established in October 2006, the University offers a library containing reference works in the areas of Arts, Literature, and Social Sciences in French, as well as additional collections in other languages. However it is not a research library. The collection development policy covers the Bachelor and Master degrees. Main acquisitions are done according to the fields of PSUAD: 

Archeology, History of art, Law, Political sciences, Geography and urban planning, History, German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, French literature, Philosophy, Sociology, Marketing, Communication, Management, International trade, Economics

In July 2009, the library counts about 50,000 books, 200 subscriptions and 4 databases. 17,000 new items are added per year. Users are encouraged to make suggestions.

Access conditions

Access to the library is  restricted to the PSUAD community. However external people can obtain a special authorisation for reading only with a justified written request addressed to the library email.

A self check-out station is available close to the reception desk.

In case of overdue borrowed items, the library will send a reminder to the user’s PSUAD email. Exceeding the deadline on borrowed books will be penalized by a borrowing suspension equal to the number of days overdue. Some documents cannot be borrowed: periodicals and books with label showing “Exclu du prêt”.

Fines appy when items are damaged or lost. Please see the rules and regulations.

Loan renewal

Items can be renewed once in addition to the initial period if they are not already overdue. Connect to the library webpages on "My account" tab. Enter your student ID number, check the list of boorowed item ad press the button "Renew".

Free WiFi zone

Wireless network is available in the premises to allow users to work on the Internet and their own documents.
